One of Navigate’s new programs this year saw its first month of action. And, yes, action was the perfect descriptor.
September brought a very diverse set of activities, faces and dynamics to the newly created, grade 6-8, ENTER program whose lab is located at Aspen Park Elementary. Spark Conversations, a visit from Education Minister Don McRae, two guest speakers (John Elmes and Jeff Verkley), as well as a head first dive into the project-based learning platforms for science and math through flight, catapulted the program out of the summer.
This month will see some large creative challenges for the students of ENTER as they will delve into the engineering process with challenges revolving around flight and structures.
At the ground level, the September slingshot effect continues to pick up momentum leading into October!
