Hannah Sulz, a former student at Navigate received the Governor General’s Academic Medal last year. She is pictured here with her mom, Kim Sulz, and her former instructor at Navigate, Mr. John Gair.
Hannah, who first enrolled with Navigate when she was in grade 9, had a personal dream of becoming a professional tennis player. In grade 10, she moved from Qualicum Beach to California to attend a tennis school while continuing her studies at Navigate. Through her senior years, she worked very hard to achieve academic excellence, as well as recognition as a promising professional athlete.
This spring, Hannah was recruited to play NCAA Division 1 tennis on a high ranking women's team. She'll be attending the University of Nebraska this fall where she is studying Business Administration, and plans to major in marketing. We are all very excited for her accomplishments, and to see Hannah reaching her goals. It's very rewarding as a school, to see how the flexibility of distributed learning can benefit our students and to watch how their individual "sparks" of interest can direct their learning and their futures.
